FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I submit my plans for an estimate?+

Upload your drawings, specs and addenda through the Upload Plans page, or email them to us. PDF, DWG and ZIP files all work. We confirm scope within a few hours.

What is your typical turnaround time?+

Most estimates are delivered in 24–48 hours. Large or multi-trade packages are scheduled with a confirmed delivery date before we start.

Which tools do you use for takeoffs and costing?+

PlanSwift and Bluebeam Revu for takeoffs, RSMeans® with zip-code city cost indexes for pricing, and Excel deliverables formatted to your cost codes.

Do you offer both quantity takeoffs and full cost estimates?+

Yes. You can order a takeoff only, a full cost estimate, or both. Many clients start with a takeoff and add pricing once the scope is locked.

What quality checks do your estimates go through?+

Every deliverable is reviewed by a second senior estimator against the drawing set, with a scope checklist and a documented assumptions and exclusions sheet.

What kinds of projects can you estimate?+

Residential, commercial and industrial — from a single-trade renovation to a ground-up multi-family or process facility.

How is pricing for your service calculated?+

By project size, trade count and drawing complexity. You get a flat, upfront quote before any work begins — no hourly surprises.

Do you sign NDAs?+

Yes. We sign your NDA or provide ours, and your drawings are never shared outside the assigned estimating team.
